A New Era of Genetic Medicines

Jeff is Chief Executive Officer at nChroma Bio. Before joining nChroma in December 2024, Jeff was CEO at Nvelop Therapeutics through its merger with Chroma Medicine. Jeff brings over 30 years of experience in leadership positions with public and private life sciences companies. Jeff was previously a venture partner at Third Rock Ventures, evaluating next gen gene and cell therapy opportunities. Prior to TRV, he held executive roles at bluebird bio from 2011-2020, including chief financial and strategy officer and chief operating officer. Jeff previously served as chief business and financial officer of Taligen Therapeutics, Inc. through its sale to Alexion Pharmaceuticals. He also held business development and finance roles at Pathogenesis (sold to Chiron), EXACT Sciences, Allscripts and SmithKline Beecham.

Jeff currently serves on the Board of Directors at Tenaya Therapeutics and Tevard Biosciences and is an Executive Teaching Fellow at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business. He received his B.A. from Yale University and M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Jenny is Chief Development Officer at nChroma Bio. Before joining nChroma Bio in December 2024, Jenny was Chief Development Officer at Chroma Medicine through its merger with Nvelop Therapeutics. Dr. Marlowe previously served as Chief Scientific Officer at Solid Biosciences, and led Research and Development efforts supporting Solid’s gene therapy programs in neuromuscular and genetic cardiomyopathy indications. She was also Chief Scientific Officer of AavantiBio prior to its acquisition by Solid Biosciences.

Before AavantiBio, Jenny held numerous scientific leadership roles at bluebird bio, including Vice President, beta-Thalassemia Program Lead and Head of Preclinical and Translational Development. Dr. Marlowe began her career at Novartis, where she served as both a Director and Laboratory Head in Discovery & Investigative Toxicology as well as a Nonclinical Safety Project Team Member in Preclinical Safety.

Dr. Marlowe holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Toxicology, with an emphasis in cellular and molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis, from the Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Cincinnati. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Miami University and is a long-standing Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology.

Melissa is Chief Scientific Officer at nChroma Bio. Before joining nChroma in December 2024, Melissa was CSO at Nvelop Therapeutics through its merger with Chroma Medicine. Melissa previously held numerous scientific leadership roles at bluebird bio. As Head of Research, she led a team that was instrumental in securing FDA approvals for Zynteglo, Skysona, and Lyfgenia.

Melissa received postdoctoral training at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Experimental Hematology focusing on hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) lentiviral vector (LVV) gene therapy and specifically working on HSC expansion technologies and LVV producer cell lines for scalable manufacturing. Melissa received her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Delaware and her B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Lisa is Chief People Officer at nChroma Bio. Before joining nChroma in December 2024, Lisa was Chief People Officer at Nvelop Therapeutics through its merger with Chroma Medicine. Lisa brings over 20 years of experience driving impactful people and culture initiatives, including professional development, performance management, and employee engagement for publicly traded, VC, and angel-funded companies. Lisa was previously the Chief People Officer at Surface Oncology, where she spent six years creating a best-in-class People & Culture function. Prior to Surface, Lisa ran her own customized human resource practice specializing in biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, molecular diagnostics, and small pharma. Her clients included Leap Therapeutics, Minerva Neurosciences, Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, Good Start Genetics, Crestovo LLC, and Agenus Bio. In addition to her consulting practice, Lisa has held senior HR leadership positions at Synta Pharmaceuticals, Intelligent Medical Devices, Predictive BioSciences, and BioSphere Medical.

Lisa received a B.A. from Notre Dame College. Lisa has been HR certified (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP) since 2003 and received Leadership Coaching Certification from the Healthcare Coaching Institute in 2017.

Padma is Senior Vice President, Technology Development at nChroma Bio. Before joining nChroma, Padma was Senior Vice President, Technology Development at Chroma Medicine through its merger with Nvelop Therapeutics. She was previously Vice President, Formulation and Analytical Development at Verve Therapeutics, where she led the drug product development of GalNAc-LNPs for gene editing applications. Padma brings more than 20 years of drug development experience in the pharmaceutical industry from previous positions at Novartis, MedImmune (Astrazeneca), and GSK. Her areas of focus are vaccines, biologics, and gene therapies, with product development expertise from inception to clinical trials. She holds multiple patents on RNA and gene editing technologies, iLipids for LNPs, vaccine adjuvants, and novel delivery systems. 

Padma received her B.S. in pharmaceutical sciences and her M.S. in pharmaceutical chemistry from Andhra University in India.

Archie is Vice President, Finance and Operations at nChroma Bio. Before joining nChroma in December 2024, Archie was Vice President, Finance and Operations at Nvelop Therapeutics through its merger with Chroma Medicine. She is a seasoned financial professional with extensive accounting and financial leadership experience within the life sciences industry that spans from early development-stage companies to commercial biotech.

Archie previously held senior financial management and accounting roles with multiple early-stage companies including Seeker Biologics and Greenlight Biosciences, supporting multiple rounds of successful financing including a reverse merger into a public company. Earlier in her career, Archie held roles of increasing responsibility at Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals, Aegerion Pharmaceuticals and FCCI Insurance Group.

Archie began her career at Ernst and Young as an auditor and is a Certified Public Accountant. She graduated with a master’s in accountancy from University of South Florida.

Mansi is Senior Director, Head of Corporate Development at nChroma Bio, leading business development, portfolio strategy, and scientific communications. Before joining nChroma in December 2024, Mansi served as Senior Director of Corporate Development at Nvelop Therapeutics through its merger with Chroma Medicine.

Mansi previously led strategy and operations at Diagon Therapeutics, a 5AM Ventures NewCo focused on iPSC-derived cell therapies that she helped conceive. Mansi was also an Operating Associate at 5AM Ventures where she focused on scientific diligence and company creation and strategy. Earlier in her career, Mansi was a consultant at Health Advances where she advised biotech and pharmaceutical companies on corporate and business development including pipeline and portfolio strategy, clinical development, and commercialization.

Mansi received her Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Pennsylvania and her B.A. in Biology and Business from New York University.
